Play-based, FUN-based social skills for Elementary & Adolescents ages 5-12. Supervised by a special education teacher.
As a Texas state-certified special education teacher, I curate and provide play-based opportunities for your child to experience and practice skills such as perspective-taking, executive function/planning and organizing, strategies for waiting and frustration tolerance, turn-taking, making a choice, and safety skills, such as staying with the group.
Everyone on our team is qualified as an allied healthcare paraprofessional. We are all CPR/BLS certified, with clean current background checks, and trained in empathetic, FUN, and effective methods for facilitating therapeutic social skills groups.
We use a child-led and play-based approach to draw upon your child's inherent strengths and interests for building new social skills.
Our shared-interest groups are led by a state-certified special education teacher:
* Art * Blocks or Lego building * Pokemon * D&D * Board games * Social games * Music *
Shared interests are a great way for children to make social connections.
If you are looking for a group facilitated by trained special educators, we are here to help!
We use coping and mindfulness strategies to teach awareness, self-advocacy, and psychological flexibility through AIM, ACT Matrix, Universal Life Skills, SkillStreaming, and Canvas art-based Curriculum.
We are a neurodivergent affirming safe space.
Our aim is to focus on your child's strengths to empower them in their social, creative, and intellectual expression.
No diagnosis or insurance required but if your child does carry a formal diagnosis or multiple diagnoses, our special education teacher is familiar with them and can help build new skills through play!
$45. for each hour-long social skills group
Each small group is limited to 6 children.
* We are intentionally working hard to keep costs minimal, and are working on a scholarship program. Please reach out if you are interested in getting on our list!
